Terms of Service
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Zachery Cook, doing business as Biltworx ("Biltworx," "we," "us"). By installing or using Biltworx, you agree to them. If you're accepting for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business. Effective date: October 18, 2026.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and is part of these terms. Your use of Shopify is also covered by Shopify's own terms.
2. Who can use Biltworx
Biltworx is for businesses. You must be at least 18 and have a Shopify store in good standing to install it.
- Merchants install Biltworx on their store and manage it from the Shopify admin.
- Builders are the employees and contractors a merchant invites through a crew link and shop code. Builders use Biltworx on the merchant's behalf, and the merchant is responsible for their use.
You're responsible for keeping your shop code and crew link private, for who you let in, and for removing builders who no longer work with you.
Employment and pay. Biltworx tracks hours, builds and bonuses to help you run your shop. It is not payroll software and does not give legal or tax advice. You are responsible for paying your workers correctly and following employment and contractor laws.
3. Plans, trial and billing

- Free trial. New stores get 30 days free. If you don't uninstall before the trial ends, your plan's monthly charge begins.
- Billing. All charges go through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify bill. Prices don't include taxes, which Shopify may add.
- Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change. Shopify will ask you to approve it.
- Cancelling. Uninstall Biltworx from your Shopify admin at any time. Charges stop from the next billing cycle. We don't give refunds for partial months, unless the law requires it.
- Plan limits. If you go over your plan's builder limit, we may ask you to upgrade or remove builders.
4. Your data
You own your data: your store information, build guides, builder records and everything you put into Biltworx. You give us permission to store and use it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You're responsible for having the right to upload what you add, including build guides, and for telling your builders that Biltworx records their hours and builds.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break any law, or use Biltworx to track people without proper notice
- Upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything harmful such as malware
- Try to access another shop's data, or get around plan limits or security
- Copy, resell, or reverse-engineer Biltworx
- Overload the service or use automated tools to scrape it
We may suspend access that breaks these rules. Where we reasonably can, we'll warn you first.
6. Our service
Biltworx, including its software, design and name, belongs to us. These terms give you the right to use it while you're subscribed, nothing more.
We're always improving Biltworx and may add, change or remove features. If we remove a major feature you pay for, we'll give you notice. We aim to keep Biltworx running smoothly but don't guarantee it will be available without interruption. Outages at Shopify or our hosting provider can affect it.
7. Disclaimers
Biltworx is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. You're responsible for checking hours, bonus totals and job details before relying on them for pay or production decisions.
8. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Indemnity
You agree to cover our costs if someone brings a claim against us because of your data, your builders' use of Biltworx, or your breaking these terms or the law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by uninstalling Biltworx. We can end or suspend your access if you seriously break these terms or don't pay. When the agreement ends, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy, so export anything you need first.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead by email or in the app. If you keep using Biltworx after that, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Tarrant County, Texas.
